Polyanionic
Cellulose
Polyanionic cellulose (PAC) by its chemical composition is, as well as CMC, a carboxymethyl ether of cellulose, but with higher degree of substitution in carboxymethyl groups (DS). PACs are the carboxymethyl ethers having degree of substitution between 90-110. Polyanionic cellulose took its name from more anionic character as compared to CMC (molecules possess more negative charge).
